The Bochum Yearbook for East Asian Studies [Bochumer Jahrbuch zur Ostasienforschung] (BJOAF) has been published since 1978 by the Faculty of East Asian Studies at Ruhr-Universität Bochum. It serves as an international forum for academic publications on East Asian research, with individual research papers making up the larger part of the journal.

All papers submitted for publication undergo double-blind peer review.
