Main research

Currently, I am investigating the relationship between task-related and resting-state fMRI in the sensorimotor system, and how these measures change with respect to perceptual learning. Depending on the focus of investigation, these perceptual interventions range from self-induced changes in mental states to externally applied physical stimulations. In addition, I use complimentary neuroimaging methods such as magnetic resonance spectroscopy of GABA to investigate the relationship between neurochemical states, brain activation and behaviour in healthy controls.
