Medical Proteome Center

Under the direction of Prof. Dr. Katrin Marcus-Alic, the Medical Proteome Center is one of the world's leading institutes. Its research interest covers all medical areas as well as natural scientific fundamentals. The methods used, include gel- and chromatography-based separation techniques with subsequent mass spectrometry, protein biochips and innovative bioinformatics.

Rare Disease Day 2024

The ProDi at Ruhr University Bochum and Phosphatdiabetes e.V. are jointly setting an example for rare diseases! 
On 29 February 2024, an information event on rare diseases will take place from 4.30 pm on the occasion of Rare Disease Day. The research building ProDi - Centre for Protein Diagnostics in Bochum will be illuminated in the colours of the RDD.
In addition to information stands, there will be discussion rounds and guided tours of the laboratory. There will also be the opportunity to take part in a photo campaign about the RDD. Catering will also be provided and we look forward to your visit!
