    Student Award 2014 of Ruhr-University Bochum for the B.A. thesis on structural changes of the press market in Japan in the aftermath of the Great Kantō Earthquake in 1923
  • 2012-2013 Study stay at Keiō University in Tōkyō (supported by a scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD))
  • 2016 M.A. in Intercultural German-Japanese Studies /Japanese Language at Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg and Keiō-University (double degree program supported by a scholarship from the German Academic Scholarship Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes) and Robert Bosch Foundation)
