However, conflicts may occur in the workplace and in the classroom. Severe conflicts, or even mobbing, discrimination or sexual harassment, may become serious stress factors and cause health problems.

Implemented in compliance with the General Equal Treatment Act (Allgemeines Gleichbehandlungsgesetz, AGG), the Office is an interdepartmental entity which deals with complaints pertaining to conflicts in the workplace, mobbing, sexual harassment and discrimination. The Complaints Office assesses each submitted complaint and, if required, recommends further measures to the respective employees' office.
