Intensive Preparatory Courses
General Information
We offer courses at a variety of levels: A 2 (advanced basic), B 1 (intermediate) and B 2 (advanced intermediate). We also offer special TestDaF* training courses (advanced). All students are required to take a standardised assessment test (placement test) at the beginning of the course.
Our courses:
• Duration of 10 weeks (including a final test)
• 20 hours per week throughout the year (no term vacation)
• Classes usually of 15-20 students
• E-Learning-Modules
• Study skills (including learning strategies and intercultural learning)
• Individual tutoring
• Helpline for accomodation
• Help with administrative issues
Registration
You can participate in German preparatory courses if you fulfil the general requirements for admission to a degree course at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum, but still need some language preparation.
Please apply for admission by downloading the admission form.
Please state if you want to register for a preparatory German course. The registration form will then be sent to you. Further information concerning the intensive preparatory courses here.
