Self Directed Learning

Self directed learning means that you as the language learner are responsible for all the relevant decisions within a specific project.

For example, you decide:

  • which specific project you wish to undertake and which requirements and interests are your main priorities,
  • what you want to achieve with a specific project,
  • which personal qualities and material resources you wish to use to see your project through,
  • how exactly you wish to proceed with your learning,
  • how to evaluate your results and which of the resulting issues you wish to address in your next project.
