University Council
Three men and thre women largely determine the fate of the Ruhr-Universität Bochum at this time. Prof. Dr Karin Donhauser, Dorothee Dzwonnek, Prof. Dr Daniel Fallon, Birgit Fischer, Prof. Dr Dr-Ing E h Ulrich Middelmann and Jürgen Schlegel make up the new University Councilof the RUB. The six, who are appointed for five years, have far-reaching powers. The University Council plays a direct strategic role in determining the future development of the university and is responsible for supervising the operative business carried out by the university management.
