Zeche Bochum

Music fans are very familiar with the name Zeche Bochum – and have been since 1981. Its stage is frequented not only by rock and pop legends such as "Uriah Heep", "Levellers" and "Manfred Mann’s Earthband", but also by lesser known newcomer bands who attract a young audience. In addition to concerts, the former mine houses parties every Friday and Saturday and before holidays ("Ü30", "Ü40", "Zeche rockt"), where dance fiends truly get their money's worth. The location also holds a pub, restaurant and beer garden. The name says it all: Zeche (“coal mine”) has its roots in industrial culture. It is located in the former locksmith's shop of the Prinz Regent coal mine in Bochum-Weitmar.
