Uni-Bad swimming pool
After almost two years of restoration and refurbishment, the Uni-Bad swimming pool re-opened in October 2011, enabling RUB students studying sports to now once again train in the vicinity of the university. In addition, the university’s extracurricular sports programme, which was forced to relocate to other pools during the renovations, can now again offer courses at the Uni-Bad at Hustadtring 157. A further advantage: of all the indoor swimming pools in Bochum, Uni-Bad is the only one with a 50 m pool that meets international competition standards.
The pool is reserved for sports students and university extracurricular sports for a total of 18 hours each week. At all other times the pool is open to the general public.
