Prof.
Wagner hat in den letzten Jahren folgende Forschungspreise
erhalten, die gleichzeitig Auszeichnungen für seine Mitarbeiter
darstellen:
Gibbs Award 2008 der IAPWS
Dieser
Preis wurde Prof. Wagner im Jahr 2008 von der International
Association for the Properties of Water and Steam (IAPWS)
für seine Forschungsarbeiten auf dem experimentellen
und theoretischen Gebiet der thermophysikalischen Eigenschaften
von Gasen und Flüssigkeiten über große Temperatur-
und Druckbereiche verliehen.
Die
Würdigung lautet:
"In
recognition of outstandig contributions to experimental and
theoretical research and being an international authority
on thermophysical properties. The work includes devising apparatus
for densimetry, which is now the accepted standard worldwide,
and the production of a new generation of multi-parameter
equations of state for many industrially important pure substances
and also for multi-component mixtures. Several of these are
accepted as international reference equations for thermodynamic
properties."
Dieser
Preis wird nur alle vier bis fünf Jahre vergeben (1999
zum ersten Mal).
Yeram S. Touloukian Award 2003 der ASME

Dieser
Preis wurde Prof. Wagner im Jahr 2003 von der American
Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) für folgende
Forschungsarbeiten auf dem Gebiet der thermophysikalischen
Eigenschaften fluider Stoffe (Gase und Flüssigkeiten)
verliehen (Zitat):
“For
outstanding contributions to the measurement of thermodynamic
properties over the whole range of fluid states, including
the critical region, the development of innovative equipment
for thermophysical property measurements, and the development
of highly accurate multiparameter equations-of-state,
including the recent standards for water and steam.”
Nach
allgemeiner Einschätzung ist dies der international
renommierteste Preis auf dem Gebiet der thermodynamischen
Stoffdatenforschung, der nur alle drei Jahre vergeben
wird (1988 zum ersten Mal). |

IAPWS Honorary Fellow Award
Dieser Preis wurde Prof. Wagner im Jahre 1998 von der
International Association for the Properties of Water
and Steam (IAPWS) für folgende Forschungsarbeiten
auf dem Gebiet der thermodynamischen Eigenschaften von
Wasser und Wasserdampf verliehen (Zitat):
“For
long-standing efforts in formulating and improving IAPWS
releases. For effective organizing and directing an
international effort resulting in the IAPWS Formulation
1995 for the Thermodynamic Properties of Ordinary Water
Substance for General and Scientific Use, and the IAPWS
Industrial Formulation 1997. For developing accurate
densimetry and correlation methods for fluid properties.”
