a)

By train

Arrived at Bochum main station (Bochum Hbf) one can take (not necessarily, see b) a taxi. You should be brought to Ruhr-Universität on I-Nordstraße (northern side of the building IB). The main entrance of the building is located on the right side.
After taking the elevator to the 5th floor one follows the direction signs to "Thermodynamik" and comes to the secretariat in Room IB 5/27. Prof. Wagner's room is IB 5/36.

b)

It is also convenient and easy to take the subway (line U35, direction "Hustadt/Ruhr-Universität") to the university. The ride takes about 10 minutes to the stop "Ruhr-Universität". In the daytime, the subway runs every 5 minutes.
Leaving the platform one turns right and crosses the bridge. Behind a watch on the left hand side at the end of the bridge  one turns left and goes downstairs over a spiral staircase. Heading straight on one follows the "I-Nordstraße" towards the building IB (middle building of three blue buildings). The main entrance ("Haupteingang") is located on the right hand side of the building. 
After taking the elevator to the 5th floor one follows the direction signs to "Thermodynamik" and comes to the secretariat in Room IB 5/27. Prof. Wagner's room is IB 5/36.

2. By plane

From Airport Düsseldorf one takes the SkyTrain to the railway station "Düsseldorf Flughafen". There one takes the "Regional-Express (RE)" or the "S-Bahn" to Bochum main station (Bochum Hbf). Note: The train ticket has to be cancelled before entering the departure platform.

3. By car

Heading the A43 south from Münster to Wuppertal one leaves the autobahn at the junction "Bochum Querenburg / Ruhr-Universität". Turning on the "Universitätsstraße" towards Ruhr-Universität one leaves the street at the junction "Uni-Mitte" (see details on site plan). There one has to take the right lane towards "Anlieferung Mensa". Entering the underground parking of the university one turns left at the next street following the sign "Mensa Anlieferung". After crossing this way the underground parking (see dotted yellow line in the site plan) one turns left and afterwards right to "I-Nordstraße". The building IB is the second blue building on the right hand side. The main entrance ("Haupteingang") is located on the right hand side of the building. If there are no parking spaces left in front of the building, one should find one behind the third building on the right hand side.
