Application and Registration
Application and registration at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum (RUB) are easy: no application is necessary for courses with unrestricted admission; anyone interested in these subjects is guaranteed a place and can enrol online. For courses with restricted admission, easy online application is possible without having to submit documentation.
Quick processing
Quick processing enables the RUB to inform applicants whether they have a place sooner than most other universities in North Rhine-Westphalia. The Registrar's Office provides information on which courses require an application, what deadlines are to be kept to, and what criteria the places are awarded by.
Studying without a school leaving certificate
The prerequisite for studying at university is usually a school leaving certificate. But the stated aim of the RUB is to offer courses to suitable applicants even without a school leaving certificate. The Registrar's Office provides information about the formal preconditions; the Student Counselling Centre provides targeted advice.
