Early Career Researchers
Early career researchers (ECRs) are actively involved in the research environment of Solvation Science @ RUB.
Young scientists are supported at all stages of their career.
Supporting early career researchers (ECRs) is one of the major goals of RESOLV.
The group of the ECRs consists of ECR group leaders (e.g. Junior Professors, Emmy Noether group leaders), postdocs and Ph.D. students working in RESOLV.
Early career research group leaders do not stand in the shadow of tenured researchers at RUB, but work independently with equal rights. They have access to the full infrastructure and funding lines of RESOLV and also to the core facilities of the Research Department Interfacial Systems Chemistry (RD IFSC). They are supported by RESOLV also beyond pure science in many respects, for instance by providing a budget available for career coaching and softskill courses on advanced leadership skills, time and finance management.
Currently, the following group leaders are ECR members:
Dr. Aliaksandr Bandarenka
Dr. Jörg Behler
Jun.-Prof. Dr. Simon Ebbinghaus
Dr. Andreas Erbe
Jun.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Tobias M. Fieback
Dr. Natham Jukam
Dr. Fabio La Mantia
Dr. Christian Müller
Dr. Frank Uwe Renner
Dr. Roberto Rinaldi
Dr. Elsa Sanchez Garcia
Dr. Jennifer Strunk
Apart from these existing groups, within RESOLV several new ECR groups are currently being established.
In the ECR general assembly the ECR board is elected annually, which currently consists of the following members:

Dr. Jörg Behler (Speaker and ECR Representative in the RESOLV Executive Board)
Dr. Andreas Erbe
Jun-Prof. Dr. Simon Ebbinghaus
