Project: Student-run refugee aid
Michael Klüter from the aid initiative “Netzwerk Wohlfahrtstraße” got in touch with his old faculty in 2014, submitting the idea of utilising the huge potential of more than 40,000 RUB students for refugee relief.
The newly established project “student-run refugee relief” was thus initiated by the Faculty of Law at Ruhr-Universität Bochum, and it aims at assisting refugees in dealing with everyday problems.
To this end, students from all disciplines hold office hours at the refugee hostel in Bochum-Harpen "Am Nordbad 14" (wednesdays, 11-12 am) and use a closed Facebook group to communicate outside office hours. In the “news” section, you can download flyers which explain in several languages what we do and how refugees can get in touch with us. You’re welcome to print out and distribute those flyers.
Detailed information is available in the linked pages.
