Summary/Abstract
The project C7 has three research areas: (1) Development of a pseudoelastic shape memory alloy (SMA) on the basis of NiTiCuX. Different amounts of Cr, Mn, Fe and V will be alloyed to NiTiCu in order to improve functional properties. (2) Processing of porous NiTi SMAs by liquid metal infiltration of space holder ceramics. (3) Production of NiTi based shape memory alloys with tailored microstructures and properties for other projects of the SFB459.
