Summary/Abstract

The scope of the project B3 is to characterize the properties of commercial shape memory polymers in technical applications. We focus on the processing of the pure polymer as well as the combination with shape memory alloys by sandwich injection moulding. Special attention is turned on the influence of the processing parameters on the stress-strain-temperature behaviour and on the low cycle functional fatigue of the pure components as well the composites.
