 | | The Computer Centre's Advisory Council | | The work of the Computer Centre's advisory council is based on §5 of the
statues of the Computer Centre. The advisory council looks after the interests of the university in all EDP matters on behalf of the senate, actually in the spirit of support and coordination. It gives recommendations to the senate and advises it as well as the vice-chancellor in all EDP matters.
The advisory council gives advice to the executive director within the bounds of its competence.
The advisory council consists of 14 members (seven professors, three scientific employees, two students, two non-scientific employees); if possible, they represent the areas of humanities, natural sciences, engineering and medicine. The members of the advisory council and their deputies are elected by the senate for two years. The student's period of office is of one year.
Chairman of the advisory council:
Prof. Dr. Volker Staemmler, chair of theoretical physics
Deputy chairman:
Dr. Udo Arendt, faculty of physics and astronomy
