Diversity Day
On June 9th, we will celebrate our 3rd Diversity Day. RUB takes a stand for internationality and diversity: join us when human chains in the shape of an “I” for internationality and “V” for “Vielfalt” (“diversity”) are assembled in the Forum and multi-coloured balloons are released.

Joint degree courses with partner universities worldwide
Randolph Galla from Administrative Department 1 will provide information on the organisation of joint degree courses and on funding schemes.

“Ottoman Europe” and “The Beauty of Macedonia”
Dr Erdmute Lapp, university library director, and Prof Markus Koller, Chair for the History of the Ottoman Empire and Turkey, present the project “Bibliographic database for historiography in Ottoman Europe (15th-18th century)”. The lecture is framed by the photo exhibition “The Beauty of Macedonia” – photographic works by Dejan Krajčevski.

Gałczyński and Monty Python? About a phenomenon of Polish humour
Lecture by Prof Dr Maria Tarnogórska, Institute of Polish Philology at Wrocław University:
The Polish poet K.I. Gałczyński (1905- 1953) and the British comedy group Monty Python have never met. Surprisingly, they works follow the same humour tradition.

Test case Ukraine. Russia, the war and European values
Lecture followed by discussion: Dr Manfred Sapper from Deutsche Gesellschaft für Osteuropakunde (German Association for East European Studies) and editor for the magazine “Osteuropa” gives a lecture on the current conflict.
