Dr. Elena Sergeevna Dmitrieva
(Research group of Bioacoustics, Sechenov Institute of Evolutionary Physiology and Biochemistry, Russian Academy of Sciences, St-Petersburg, Russia) worked in a DFG-supported research project from April to June 2006 at the Faculty of Psychology. Her major research interests are
- Functional brain asymmetry for speech perception
- Ontogenetic and gender differences in speech recognition performance in persons with and without speech pathologies
- Correlation between emotional perception and cognitive abilities in ordinary and gifted children
- Emotion-related acoustic voice characteristics of persons who do and do not stutter
