About myself:

After the "Diplom" in physics (University of München 1964) doctoral thesis with Carl Friedrich von Weizsäcker about the axiomatics of quantum mechanics (Hamburg 1968); after that from the foundation in 1970 until 1978 research assistant at the "Max-Planck-Institut zur Erforschung der Lebensbedingungen der wissenschaftlich-technischen Welt" (Starnberg); 1980 "Habilitation" in München with a thesis about the conceptual foundations of quantum mechanics ("Voraussage - Wahrscheinlichkeit - Objekt" (1979)); work in several industrial companies. - From 1986 until 2006 head of the research group 'natural philosophy' at Bochum. Now teaching at the Accademia per la Teologia del Popolo di Dio, Villa Cavalletti, Grottaferrata (RM), Italien.
Further book publications: "Einführung in die Naturphilosophie" (2nd ed. 1991), "Carl Friedrich von Weizsäcker - eine Einführung" (1992). "Naturphilosophie – eine Einführung" (2002). Numerous articles, cf. list of publications. -

Field of work and scientific interests:

Mainly philosophical foundations of science, especially of quantum mechanics, and their place in our patchwork world; especially quantum theory a priori, "quantum logic"; furthermore foundations of probability theory and theory of evolution
