The term “epistemic feeling” refers to experiences that one undergoes when confronted with cognitive tasks. Examples include the feeling of knowing and that of forgetting, the feeling of confidence or of uncertainty, the tip-of-the-tongue phenomenon, and others. This workshop brings together researchers from philosophy, psychology and cognitive neuroscience trying to make progress in our understanding of these phenomena.
