Rudolf-Carnap Lectures 2012

We are pleased to announce that in 2012, from
May 31st - June 2nd, the Carnap Lectures will be presented by Susan Carey (Harvard and
Ned Block (NYU).

Call for Papers

Attached to the Lecture series is a graduate workshop, also held annually, where graduate students present papers on topics related to the topics of the lectures, based on a blind review process.

We invite graduate students to submit high quality papers related to the themes of the Carnap-Lectures. We also accept papers that are loosely attached to these topics, but still remain in the area of philosophy of mind and developmental psychology. Four selected papers will be presented during a workshop with Susan Carey and Ned Block, and will be considered for publication in a special issue of the international journal Philosophia. The authors also receive free accommodation and a 200 € award. Regarding this Reward, we are grateful to the executive board of the Ruhr-University’s Research School for funding this event!

Submissions (full papers, no longer than 2000 words) should be sent electronically to Nike Zohm (nike.zohm (at) rub.de). Deadline extended until April 15th, 2012.
