The 10th edition of PhDs in Logic will take place in Prague jointly organized by students from the Department of Logic at Charles University in Prague and the Czech Academy of Sciences/ CAS (Institute of Information Theory and Automation and the Institute of Computer Science).
PhDs in Logic is a graduate conference organised by local doctoral students. Its aim is to bring together PhD students and researchers as well as to foster contact between PhD students. The conference has an interdisciplinary character, welcoming contributions to various topics in Mathematical Logic, Philosophical Logic, and Logic in Computer Science. Earlier editions of the event took place in Ghent (2009, 2012), Tilburg (2010), Brussels (2011), Munich (2013), Utrecht (2014), Vienna (2015) and Darmstadt (2016). The conference will take place from 2nd May to 4th May 2017 at the Ruhr-University Bochum and will consist of two main parts: one part consists of six tutorials by established researchers on relevant topics in logic. For the other part made up of contributed talks, there is an open call for abstracts, inviting PhD students, early career postdoctoral researchers and advanced master students from any branch of formal logic who want to present their work at the conference.
Attendance is free but please register.
Note, that there's another logic conference in Bochum following PhDs in Logic: Logic in Bochum III
The following speakers will give the tutorials. For further info on the tutorials please see the programme.
