Porous
metal organic coordination polymers as carrier matrices for metal/metal oxide
nano particles
The
project establishes methods for embedding/supporting of nanoparticles
(1 < d < 2 nm) in porous Metal–Organic Frameworks (MOFs). The composites
metal@MOF, metal oxide@MOF
and metal/metal oxide@MOF will be characterized
for the distribution of particles, interactions of particles with the supporting
matrix and interactions with adsorbate species.
Results will be related to metal-support interactions in heterogeneous catalysis
for both test reactions methanol synthesis (on Cu/ZnO)
and oxidation of alcohols (on Au or Au/ZnO and Au/TiO2).
