Why study iSTEM?

Daniel Terheyden-Keighley, 22, England
I have to be here at 7:30 every morning and I get back to Recklinghausen at 8 o’ clock in the evening. There’s not a lot of free time, but it’s interesting and lots of fun, so that’s OK.

Julia Delling, 24, Germany
I am very interested in the subject and found out about the degree programme through my professor’s contact with the Stem Cell Network NRW. There are no other programmes like this in Germany.

Daniel Bemmerl, 23, Germany
Stem cell research is still a new field and there were no degree programmes specialising in it before now. You learn everything from scratch here and you don’t only focus on the technical side, but also include the broader background. That’s the reason I chose Bochum.
