My main interests are in ethics in psychiatry, moral responsibility and Kantian ethics. In Bochum, I work on the projects ENSURE, HumanMeD and SALUS.

I received my Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Amsterdam. My dissertation criticizes the traditional Kantian take on moral responsibility and develops a Kantian theory of excuses and exemptions.

Alongside my B.A. and M.A. studies at the University of Amsterdam, I worked as an auxiliary nurse in a rehabilitation center.
