CONFERENCE Photo AlBUM
Objectives and Topics
Victor Berdichevsky is widely known for his fundamental contributions to variational principles of mechanics, asymptotic methods, shell theory, the theory of turbulence and mechanics of materials. His various papers and books have made a lasting impact on such broader fields of science as variational calculus, continuum mechanics, thermodynamics, and statistical physics. Our conference will celebrate the 65th birthday of this outstanding scientist and will use the occasion to offer a broad exchange of ideas on recent developments in various fields of mechanics, physics and applied mathematics.
Call for Papers
Participants are asked to submit a short abstract stating main results and conclusions. We expect a publication of the main lectures in a special volume of the journal "Continuum Mechanics and Thermodynamics", Springer.
Please direct all submissions to chau.le@rub.de.
The deadline for titles and abstracts is 28.02.2010.
