Some selected steel structures are used to demonstrade the load bearing behaviour of structural elements during testing. Measurement-technology for acquisition of mechanical values (e.g. force, strain, deformation) are used and their fields of applications are described. The obtained test results are compared with theoretical calculations and afterwards the correlation of calculations and tests are discussed.
An insight of technical possibilities for tests will be given. The presentation of the load bearing behaviour of structures or structural units in tests should point out a better understanding of the interaction of material, set-up and load configuration. |

(Participation) modalities |
|
In WS 2009/10 the participants must register themselves in tables at the notice board of the Lehrstuhl
für Stahl- und Verbundbau (building IA, floor 5).
For credits, which are confirmed after completition of the course, a regular participation is necessary. |

Place, time and range of the course |
|
The course takes place in the structural testing laboratory of building IA-N.
After arrangement, the participants will be divided into groups of 10 to 15 person and will be carried out on different dates.
The course takes approximately 1 - 2 hours. With regular participation the student receives one point. (1 SWS). |
