Interplay of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Material Science
INTCHEM -"Non-Covalent Interactions in Chemistry and Biochemistry" is funded by the European Union (EU) from 2006-2010 under the Marie Curie Actions. It covers a total of 8 PhD positions and just over 1.3 m€ in funding. As a single host, it is fully integrated into the faculty-wide Graduate School of Chemistry and Biochemistry.
INTCHEM is a so-called Early Stage Research Training: In the last call by the European Commission (FP6-2004-Mobility-2) INTCHEM is the only "Chemistry" project selected to be coordinated by a German research instititution. Speakers are the two chemists Prof. W. Sander (Organic Chemistry) and Prof. W. Schuhmann (Analytical Chemistry).
