How to Apply:

The deadline for submission of the Application Form for the academic year 2013/2014 is 15 March 2013.
To apply to the programme as a NOHA Mundus Student, which includes moving to another university within the NOHA network for the second and possibly third semester, please use the following online application system:

  • Joint online application system (available for ordinary applicants and European applicants applying for Erasmus Mundus scholarships from October 15, 2012)

Deadline for candidates from EU Member States, the EEA-EFTA states (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway) and the candidate countries for accession to the EU (Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Croatia and Turkey) who are applying for Erasmus Mundus Scholarships is December 15, 2012. To apply as a student spending the complete programme in Bochum, please send two copies of the following documents marked with an asterix (*) to the address above.

  • Application form.* We are working on a system of online registering for the course. As long as these forms are not available, please use the current application forms.
  • Curriculum Vitae.*
  • A copy of your passport or identity card.
  • One passport photo glued on your application form.
  • A certified copy of degree certificate and qualification (B.A., M.A., etc.).
  • A certified copy of your grade transcript (i.e. list of courses with grades and credits).
  • A copy of the TOEFL- (550-600 paper, 215-250 computer and 93 internet) or IELTS (6-7) certificate if needed to show your level of proficiency in the English language. Other means to indicate your current level of English are also accepted (English-speaking degree, year abroad in an English speaking country, etc.).
  • Two letters of reference.*
  • A signed affidavit form.

Certified means that the copy has to have official stamps (from the school/university, from the notar, from the mayor's office, etc.) which states that this is a true copy of the original document. If your transcript is not in English, French, German, Dutch, Spanish or Portuguese we would also need to have a certified translation in one of these languages attached.

Please make sure that you have enclosed all documents required above and send all required documents together. If you cannot send certain documents yet, please explain this in your application and indicate when we can expect to receive these remaining documents. This will avoid delays in the review of your application.
