International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)
The German Red Cross and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) are impartial, neutral and independent organizations whose exclusive humanitarian missions are to protect the lives and dignity of victims of war and internal violence and to provide them with assistance. They direct and coordinate the international relief activities conducted by the movement in situations of conflict. They also endeavour to prevent suffering by promoting and strengthening humanitarian law and universal humanitarian principles.
NOHA International Association of Universities
The Joint European Master's in International Humanitarian Action is an inter-university, multidisciplinary postgraduate programme that provides high quality academic education and professional competencies for personnel working or intending to work in the area of humanitarian action.
The Directorate-General for Education and Culture:
In September 2004, the European Commission awarded the NOHA Master's the status of an Erasmus Mundus Programme. The latter is a co-operation and mobility programme in the field of higher education that promotes the European Union as a centre of excellence in learning around the world. It provides EU-funded scholarships for a limited number of outstanding third-country nationals participating in Erasmus Mundus Master's Courses.
European Commission:
The European Commission is one of the most committed donaters of humanitarian aid worldwide. With its help, the Network of Humanitarian Action (NOHA) was founded in 1993 with the support of DG ECHO with the objective to fill a serious gap in the European educational landscape which had ignored humanitarian action as an important issue in higher academic education.
The European Inter–University Centre for Human Rights and Democratisation (EIUC) is an interdisciplinary centre formed by 41 universities from all European Union Member States. It is founded on a commitment to the realisation of the values enshrined in the European Union Charter of Fundamental Rights, the promotion of high-level inter-disciplinary human rights education, research, training and culture, and a shared global understanding of human rights and democracy. EIUC is located in Venice, Italy.

European Peace University (EPU) - Private University
The IFHV cooperates with this private university in the fields of teaching, research and publication. The Peace University ins famous for their international master programme in peace research.
Stiftung Entwicklung und Frieden (SEF)
The Institute co-operates with the SEF since 1994. IFHV scholars took part in many conferences of the SEF and published books and policy papers with this organization which was founded by Willy Brandt.
European Regional Master's Degree in Democracy and Human Rights in South-East Europe (ERMA)
The "European Regional Master's Degree in Democracy and Human Rights in South-East Europe (ERMA)", is a unique regional interdisciplinary one--year full time MA programme. It is established in 2000, through the joint efforts of eleven participating universities and research centers, coordinated by the Center for Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Studies of the University of Sarajevo in cooperation with the University of Bologna through its Istituto per l'Europa Centro--Orientale e Balcanica. The ERMA programme is an educational activity intended for students that would combine practical experience in human rights issues with further academic study. The IFHV is member of the network since 2007.
