Erfolgreiche Teilnahme von 10 IFHV Mitarbeitern an der 2. World Conference on Humanitarian Studies in Medford, Boston, USA
Der zweite WCHS Kongress fand dieses Jahr vom 2.-6. Juni an der Tufts University in Medford, Boston statt. Der Kongress wurde von der International Humanitarian Studies Associational (IHSA) organisiert in Kooperation mit den Universitäten Tufts, Harvard, Columbia und dem Social Science Research Council. Das IFHV war in die Konferenzorganisation mit eingebunden.  Zehn IFHV Mitarbeiter nahmen aktiv an der Konferenz teil und präsentierten ihre aktuellen Forschungsergebnisse in folgenden Panels:
