INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF SEDIMENTOLOGISTS
and the Ruhr-University Bochum are happy to inivite participants to the 26th regional meeting of the International Association of Sedimentologists to be held jointly with the SEPM-CES SEDIMENT 2008 meeting at the Ruhr-University (RUB) at Bochum, Germany. September 1- 3 2008 The United Nations General Assembly, meeting in New York, has proclaimed the year 2008 to be the United Nations International Year of Planet Earth. In 1980, Bochum hosted the first European Meeting of IAS and now, nearly thirty years later, sedimentologists return. This occasion offers an excellent opportunity for us to review the changes that Sedimentary Geology as a discipline in Earth Sciences has undergone during these last three decades and we will debate future developments.
