SUPERCONDUCTING FT NMR Spectrometer AVANCE NEO 400 WB

Manufacturer: Bruker BioSpin GmbH, Silberstreifen 4, 76287 Rheinstetten

This spectrometer is a replacement for the old ASX 400 NMR spectrometer as part of the "Großgeräte der Länder" program of the German Research Foundation (DFG).

The new spectrometer has been in operation since November 2020.

Spectrometer Console Equipment

The spectrometer equipment (400 MHz, B0= 9.39 Tesla) for 1H / 19F and X-nuclei includes:

  • Magnetsystem Ascend 400 MHz WB
    8.9 cm bore (field strength at 9.39 Tesla), actively shielded for minimal magnetic stray field
    • EDS (External Disturbance Suppression) efficient suppression of external magnetic field disturbances (e.g. trams, trains and elevators)
