Scheme to Support Specific Activities of Young Researchers
What is the objective of the scheme?
The “Scheme to support specific activities of young researchers” is aimed at improving the skills of our young researchers. Our aim is to support our young researchers in their career development and in applying for externally-funded research projects by providing additional funding.
Who can apply?
The scheme is open to all postgraduate researchers at the Ruhr-Universität. We welcome the establishment of interdisciplinary and collaborative projects. Each applicant can, as a rule, only be funded once under this scheme.
How can i apply?
- Simply download the application form “Specific activities of young researchers”
- Fill out the application (max. five A4 pages)
- Send your application with the subject “Scheme to support specific activities of young researchers” to rektoratsprogramme@rub.de
Who decides on my application?
The Rectorate decides on the approval of your application. Beforehand, the applications received are reviewed by a panel of the Rectorate. If you are shortlisted, you may also be asked to present your project to the Rectorate.
What level of funding will I recieve?
Your start-up financing can amount to up to 10,000 euros. Funding is usually combined with subject-related coaching. After a year at the latest, you should inform the Rectorate in a written report on the use of the funds and the application status.
How long will I be funded for?
The funding term amounts to max. 12 months.
