Overview
Among other things, this degree course prepares you for the Master of Education in Sport, but can also be studied as a single degree. The course contents include the fundamentals of sports science, the fundamentals of activity fields in the individual area, the fundamentals of sports games, the fundamentals of natural sports and other activity fields, the anatomical and physiological foundations of physical activity, training and exercise, social foundations of sport, sport and exercise in the educational process. The two-subject degree may be studied with the final qualification “M.Ed.” (teaching certificate for grammar schools and comprehensive schools).

Details
One of the biggest sports faculties in Germany
The faculty is one of the biggest sports faculties in Germany. Aimed at “non-school sports occupations”, it leads to a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in six semesters: the areas of specialisation in this one-subject Bachelor’s degree are a) recreation/training/health; b) sports management; c) rehabilitation/prevention.
The one-subject Master’s degree (Master of Sports Science, M.Sc.) specialises in diagnostics and intervention in sports and sports consulting. In the two-subject Bachelor’s degree (Bachelor of Arts), in addition to sport, a second subject is studied for the teaching certificate for grammar schools and comprehensive schools.
An entrance test is a prerequisite for admission to the course. Information on dates and required attainments can be found on the homepage of the faculty.

General requirement: You need at least a high school degree to study this programme. For admission and successful studies a high standard of German language skills is required.
