Overview

General requirements:
Interest in language, literature, and culture, as well as methodological and pedagogical questions; good communication skills.

Language requirements:
Good Russian language skills are required of all applicants (skills based on the Common European Framework of References for Languages (CEFR) levels B1/B2), as well as English language skills at the CEFR level B2 and skills in a further modern foreign language at the CEFR level B1.

Subject specific requirements:
Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Slavonic Philology (with emphasis on Russian), or in East Slavonic Studies or a comparable degree.

Details

The programme builds on the B.A. study programme with the aim of integrating and expanding the previously acquired knowledge and skills through specific knowledge and skills relevant to vocational fields, didactics and practical teaching.

The programme is divided into three interconnected parts:
Academic Training in the Subject (linguistic, literary, and cultural methodology and foreign language training in Russian), Didactics of the school subject (didactics of foreign languages and didactics of teaching the Russian language and literature) and Practical Studies (a four-week basic placement with additional lectures).

Application

Requirement: You need a counseling interview with the programme´s student counselor before registration. In some Master-Programmes there are more specific requirements. Please contact your student counselor.

More requirements: For admission you need a second subject since all MEd programmes are 2-subject programmes.

There are no restrictions.
