Overview

The M.A. programme deepens and broadens the knowledge and skills acquired during the B.A. course. It enables students to study and analyse philosophical texts and problems independently. Students are introduced to current philosophical debates and discussion within their chosen fields of interest and will acquire the necessary subject-related skills and methodological competence for academic work in these areas.
The programme is divided into the following modules:

Module “Realisation and Reason” (Ontology / metaphysics, logic, epistemology, language philosophy, philosophy of science and history of science)

• Start: Winter semester and summer semester
• Application: Not restricted.
• Taught in: German
• 2-subject programme: 2. subject required. - Table of combinations

Details

Module “Act and Norm” (general ethics, medical and biological ethics, philosophy of law, philosophy of state and social philosophy, philosophy of history, theory of action)

Module „Culture and Nature“ (philosophy of culture, technology and the media, philosophy of religion, philosophy of art / aesthetics, philosophical anthropology, philosophy of nature)

Application

Requirement: You need a counseling interview with the programme´s student counselor before registration. In some Master-Programmes there are more specific requirements. Please contact your student counselor.

More requirements: For admission you need a second subject.
