Overview

General requirements:

The M.Ed. prepares students for a career as a Geography teacher. Students should have an active interest in the subject and in teaching it in school. Pedagogical experience with children and adolescents as well as good communicative skills are helpful.

Language requirements:

English language skills are expected from all applicants.

• Start: Winter semester only
• Application: Not restricted.
• Taught in: German

Details

Modules for the enhancement of subject skills in Geography:

• Theory and Practice of Urban and Regional Development
• Ecological Problems and Conflicts
• Optional compulsory module from the M.Sc. areas of focus

• Introduction to the Didactics of Geography
• Theory and Practice of Didactics of Geography
• Planning, Realisation, and Evaluation of teaching activities (incl. central work placement)

Application

Requirement: You need a counseling interview with the programme´s student counselor before registration. In some Master-Programmes there are more specific requirements. Please contact your student counselor.

More requirements: For admission you need a second subject since all MEd programmes are 2-subject programmes.
