Overview
The Faculty of Protestant Theology offers all the main theological subjects. A special focus of the faculty is on the departments of Christian sociology, ecumenics, and religious studies. Furthermore, feminist theology and theological gender research have a high priority. The two-subject degree can be studied with the final qualification “M.Ed.” (teaching certificate for grammar schools and comprehensive schools).

Sociology, ecumenics, and religious studies
The Faculty of Protestant Theology offers all the main theological subjects. A special feature of the faculty is made up of the departments of Christian sociology, ecumenism, and religious studies. Furthermore, feminist theology and theological gender research have a high priority. The ancient Hebrew and Greek languages can also be learned here.
The two-subject B.A. degree course prepares you primarily for the Master of Education in Protestant religious education.
The degree is made up of the following components
Old Testament, New Testament, church history (ancient church, Middle Ages to the Reformation), advanced course in church history (Reformation to modern church history), systematic theology, basic issues of dogmatics, biblical theology, ethical theology, and practical theology.
Application
General requirement: You need at least a high school degree to study this programme. For admission and successful studies a high standard of German language skills is required.
