Overview
The subject of this Bachelor’s degree is civil engineering with all its subject areas. You have to complete basic courses in mathematics, mechanics, computer science, ecology, and surveying. Added to this are modules on the fundamentals of the civil engineering subjects of building materials science, building physics and building construction, structural engineering and structural design, reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete construction, steel and wood construction, foundation engineering, construction management, water engineering, transport, and communications.

Many areas of specialisation
The Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering offers a B.Sc. Degree in civil engineering, and together with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, it offers a Bachelor’s /Master’s degree course in environmental engineering and resource management.
The subject of the Bachelor’s degree is civil engineering with all ist subject areas. You attend basic courses in mathematics, mechanics, computer science, ecology, and surveying. Added to this are modules on the fundamentals of the civil engineering subjects of building materials science, building physics and building construction, structural engineering and structural design, reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete construction, steel and wood construction, foundation engineering, construction management, water engineering, and transport.
In the Master’s degree in civil engineering you have the opportunity to choose from a wide range of different areas of specialisation: structural engineering, computational mechanics, foundation engineering and tunnel construction, water and environmental engineering and transport, and communications.
Application
General requirement: You need at least a high school degree to study this programme. For admission and successful studies a high standard of German language skills is required.
