Equality Strategy

Gleichstellungskonzept 2008RUB’s equality strategy was assessed by an expert committee and was funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. One of the special features of this strategy was its application throughout RUB and its integration into all decision-making processes.

 

“Equality at Work” Guidelines

Richtlinie Fairer Umgang am ArbeitsplatzWith its “Equality at Work” guidelines, RUB sets a clear signal that discrimination of any kind, sexual violence, and bullying are not tolerated. RUB thus takes responsibility for ensuring (within the limits of its jurisdiction) that the rights of individuals and their personal space will be respected and protected in the legal sense of German Basic Law.

Working Group “Equality for Staff and Students”

The RUB Working Group “Equality for Staff and Students” was first convened in April 2009. The group is made up of an equal number of men and women, and represents a broad range of status groups. The working group is chaired by the RUB’s Senior Equal Opportunity Officer.
