Your profile:
You have a diploma / master degree in biology, biochemistry or molecular biology. You possess a solid basic knowledge of biology and have gained experience in molecular techniques and in microbiology. The basic knowledge of bioinformatics is appreciated.

Your tasks:
You will work within the Christian Doppler-Labor for “Biotechnology of Fungi”. This laboratory is located within the Lehrstuhl für Allgemeine und Molekulare Botanik and is funded by the Christian Doppler Society (Vienna). A part of the experiments have to be conducted at Sandoz-Company (Tyrol, Austria)

The aims of this laboratory are:
1. Development of molecular tools
2. Discovery of novel regulators of secondary metabolism
3. Application of functional genomics to filamentous fungi

Our job offer:
The position is to be filled by any date and the appointment is for a period of two years. A three years extension after positive evaluation is possible. Pay scale grouping is according to TV-L.
