The aim and objectives of the workshop

The purpose of this workshop is to help the participants improve their performance in delivering presentations and public speaking. One of the important elements of this training is to address the issue of confidence in order to help you balance your stress level upon speaking in front of an audience. Throughout this training, you will be led through a series of input sessions from the trainer which will allow you to reflect on your current practice and improve areas that you feel you should pay more attention on. You will be given the opportunity to practice each point in various formats e.g. mini-presentations, group presentations, discussions, and controlled exercises. Each mini-presentation will have an observer, including but not limited to the trainer and other trainees, who has a list of criteria to observe and comment on the activity. Later on, during the debriefing process by putting together the recommendations suggested by your colleagues and your trainer you would be able to further improve your performance skills.
