POI 8: Green Houses

Exotic feelings come up in the greenhouses, which cover 3500 m² of the Botanical Garden. Plants from warmer climates, which would not flourish year-round outside in Germany, can be found here. One step through the door of the tropical greenhouse transports you into a different world with 713 m² of trees and herbs from the tropical rain forest, mangroves, as well as marsh and water plants. If you're lucky, you will meet some quails from Southeast Asia that hide under the green leaves. The other greenhouses display plants from the desert and savanna of South America, South Africa, Madagascar, and Australia.
