POI 4: Supply shaft
After all these stairs, you already feel at the bottom of the campus. But even further below is an underground world: 8.5 km of supply shafts below the surface connect all buildings of the RUB campus. Cables and conduits inside the shafts supply the campus with water, electricity, internet, and heat.
The great advantage of such a shaft, besides the fascinating thought of wandering below the campus, is that if something is broken, one does not need to search and dig to repair the damage.
