Fritz Bahlo, former CEO, Sparkasse Bochum (†)
Between 1964 and 1966 Fritz Bahlo studied Law and Political Economics in Berlin. In 1966 he changed over to the newly founded Ruhr-Universität Bochum and completed his diploma in Economics in 1969.
Even prior to his studies Fritz Bahlo had worked for the Sparkasse Bochum and after holding several positions there he became its director in 1974 and its CEO in 1999. He was involved with the Ruhr-Universität Bochum in various positions and was chairman of the Friends of the Universität Bochum (GDF). Since 2001 Fritz Bahlo was an honorary citizen of the RUB. Besides, he was a member of the Board of Trustees. On November 24, 2010 Fritz Bahlo passed away.
